1. IDAHO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Idaho has 70 members of the house of representatives. Each district has two house members who serve for two years before again running for re-election. Only 11 of Idaho’s State Legislators are Democrats, 59 are Republicans. The Speaker of the House, Scott Bedke, and nearly all of House leadership, including a majority of Committee Chairs are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Later Day Saints. 2. IDAHO SENATE
Idaho has 35 Senators, one for each legislative district. These, like House members serve two year terms. The President Pro Tempore of the Senate, Brent Hill, and nearly all of legislative leadership, including key Committee Chairs are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Later Day Saints.
